Special Weekend Affair!

As we move forward into the lovely season of autumn, we wish to remind you of the unique and unusual exhibition of paintings that we have on display at Studio B in Boyertown.  "F. Sands Brunner:  Boyertown's Rockwell" has met with much acclaim.  Frederick Sands Brunner was born in Boyertown, Pennsylvania in 1886.  He graduated from the Pennsylvania Museum and School of Industrial Art in Philadelphia, studied at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, and achieved a successful career in illustrative art.  He died in 1954.

As an introduction and rediscovery of Brunner's work, this exhibition has garnered much attention from the local public and also from the art community.  Several Boyertown residents remembered Brunner and shared nostalgic anecdotes not only about the artist, but also about his works.  The national art community has currently been featuring American illustrators in exhibitions in major museums around the country.  It is an exciting time to be involved in this aspect of highly collectable art, especially from a hometown artist!

If you haven't visited the exhibition "F. Sands Brunner: Boyertown's Rockwell," then here is a great opportunity.   In collaboration with Studio B, we would like to invite you to a special weekend affair to close this show.  On Friday, November 20, Greshville Antiques and Fine Art will host a closing reception from 5pm - 8pm.   An informative but casual lecture will begin at 6pm.   Valerie Malmberg will present:  F. Sands Brunner and The Golden Age of Illustration Art.  This will include an informative overview of the exhibited collection along with a look at the current explosive interest in American illustration art.

Along with the lecture, Greshville Antiques and Fine Art will be offering a 30% discount off the ticket price of remaining works in the exhibition.  As the art market stands today in these economic times, it is already a buyer's market.    Art is proving itself to be a possible alternative to other investment strategies. This discount offer will continue throughout the weekend, with open hours on Saturday and Sunday of 2pm - 5pm.

This exhibition has been in collaboration with Studio B, a newly founded nonprofit community run art center, located at 39A Philadelphia Avenue, Boyertown, PA.   Studio B has as its mission "the promotion of the visual and literary arts and artists of the area and enhancing creativity along with the health and wellness of the community."  A portion of the proceeds from this exhibition will be donated to Studio B.

We invite you to join us in the excitement over this rediscovered local artist and his intriguing works of art.  We are sure you will find it engaging, affordable, and fun!
